Why Doesn't Digicom include Email for free?
Our answer is, we could if we charged as much as our
competitors! To offer an email account, Internet
Providers have to install massive sized hard drives to
store all that mail. Most people love to keep
old mail, or forget to delete it, so the needed storage room
keeps going up and up. So what it comes down to is
increased costs which have to be passed along to you. Our competitors don't
charge extra, because they already charge you anywhere from
$3.00 to $18.00 a month more than we do, so the price is
already built in.
These days, so many companies like Yahoo & Google have
started providing free email accounts to people, we felt it
wise to offer you the decision on if you wanted to pay for
an email account like you do with other companies, or save
the money and use a free service. We like to
give our customers options, and we like to save every dollar
we can for you.
If you would like to check out a free mail service, we
highly recommend Gmail. They offer 2GB of email
storage and access to your email via a browser or
POP3 interface (which is what Outlook, Eudora and other mail
programs would use to download the mail.).
